Hazardous area T ratings, as specified by NEC article 500, are designed to prevent the surface of the heater from exceeding the auto ignition point of the materials encountered. These ratings must also be de-rated as specified by NEC article 501-10. Below is a list of the T ratings offered by Benko Products, along with the NEC assigned temperature and the actual thermostat used.

Sahara Silicone Rubber Hazardous Area Drum Heaters are designed to prevent the surface of the heater from exceeding the auto ignition point of the materials encountered. These heaters meet the Hazardous Area T ratings, as specified by NEC article 500.

Full Coverage Drum Heater and Jacket

Full Coverage Drum Heater and Jacket provides a safe and efficient method of temperature and viscosity control. A built-in, adjustable thermoswitch prevents temperature runaway.
